The hair loss pattern is different in a man and a woman. Men can develop bald areas. They can lose all the hair on top. For a woman, it’s very rare for that to happen. Women experience a different type of hair loss. They maintain their hairline, however the top of their hair becomes diffusely thin.  It is less obvious to see hair loss in a woman. It is believed that the number of men and women with hair loss is around the same. However, in men it is more visible. Women will also fix their appearance to make sure that their baldness cannot be seen. For some women, they get tearful and face an inability to work, an inability to socialize. Hair loss changes their life in a real negative way.
